Mother of the Bride

Undoubtly Weddings are the most important day for the Bride and Groom but next in line has to be The Mother of the Bride.  Next to the Bridal Gown everyone remembers what The Mother of the Bride wore.  So how do you choose an outfit?

Just remember you cannot overdress!  Start shopping early and don't forget to shop around.  Some of the Highstreet Stores are fantastic but don't forget your local boutique.  You can pick up outfits from from top designers from Spain, Italy and all over the continent.

Each year fashions change but don't forget the outfit must suit you and make you feel comfortable all day.  Dusty pink has always been very popular with the mother of the bride but in 2002 green made a great comeback.  In 2003  gold seems to be a very popular choice.  And with a lot of brides going for a colour rather than the traditional white and creams it is now ok to dress in cream.

This will probably be the most expensive outfit you have bought in years so remember that you may want to wear it again.  Some women are just not comfortable in a dress so you will be happy to know that trousers are making an entrance into the Mother of the bride outfit.  If you do decide to choose trousers try to go for something very stylish and something that enhances your figure.

Hats:  Hats are almost a must for the Mother of the Bride.  Indeed they have become very popular with all the female guests.  Try not to be outshone on your big day.  If you are small and feel lost under a hat you can always opt for a headpiece.(There are lovely feathery headpieces out there this year).  Remember you can hire a hat for the day and this will give a much wider choice for your chosen budget.

Shoes: Again comfort is all important.  A closed toe is always more elegant than an open toe.
This year the toes are getting pointy and the heels are getting higher.  While style is very important you should still remember what suits you and what you feel comfortable in.

Be Fashionable: Be Stylish: But most of all Be Comfortable......

Have a great day!
